Lots of work done on the car to make sure it's as ready as I can make it---the first 2 things in the car are a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit. Then come the red solo cups and 5 years worth of Bandit Run shirts.

      Yeah,
I think the old timers should choose which day to wear the 2007 shirts, another day to wear the 2008 shirts and so forth just so... naw just kidding. That's way too organized for me. smile image

As for the Little Red TA, I now have a power steering leak to repair before leaving... grumpy image

Was it Tinman that coined the phrase "this car is fighting me all the way this year"? That's certainly what it feels like! yell image

Shaker, I think I remember stating something along those lines...for me, it's true and it hasn't stopped.

The Brewster green '73 T/A is as ready as she's going to get with a few minor issues--but no driver. My step son-in-law couldn't make it and a friend that was lined up had a family member fall and injure themselves so they're staying close to home. The car is now my back-up (keep reading).

The '76 50th is another story. It's at the transmission shop getting a noise checked out that sounds to me like a bad bearing in the torque converter. The rebuild has less than 13K miles on it (but over ten years). I really want to get the exhaust redone (but not critical) and she's running a tad warm and I need to reseal the t-tops. Still needs to be clayed, swirls removed, and waxed, also need to find a better way to mount the replacement CB radio. Nothing like coming down to the wire. frown image

We're still on track for heading out Friday, see you soon--in which car? Well, that'll be a surprise to all of us. sarcastic image

Right now... still the Little Red TA. She looks better than ever since spending some substantial bucks and TIME on her. Should have a fresh carb on her later today and will make a fancy run down to Newnan tomorrow night to see everyone before the big RIG send off...

As Fred (the other Fred)...would say: "YABBA-DABBA-DOO!!!"

Well, my car is together and being tuned today. Should be ready to drive home tomorrow afternoon. It's going to need some detailing.... some is an understatement. But may have to take part of Thursday off to get that done before heading out Friday Morning.
