Well, since it isnt looking good to finish the 79TATA, i have abandoned that for the time being to do some work on the 95. If weather cooperates, we should have it painted by this coming Friday, then going to do some work with the wheels. After that i will install a new opti-spark, cap, re-seal and do a tranny service, front struts, already have done plugs and wires, rear shocks, fuel filter and some other odds and end stuff. If i finish the mechanics of my to-do list, i will need to do some interior work. It will never be a show car, but i will be able to enjoy it on the run anyway. wink image

      Matt--

I hope you're still on track to make BRIII.

I passed a major hurdle yesterday, I thought I needed to rebuild the differential in the '76 but as it turns out, all it apparently needed was a good servicing. Wear patterns are normal on the ring gear and the backlash was in spec.

I still would like to repaint my headlight buckets and grills as well as update the exhaust but neither are "trip killers".

      Can't wait until May!

      Tinman,
Since Red talked me into driving my blue TA, I've got enough work to do on it to cost BO a bundle while he is still in the $$ handing out business. Unfortunately, I won't get any of his I mean ours (how strange but true). I got to have Mac stop an oil leak that we think is in the valley pan underneath the intake going down the backside of the engine. Then balance the rear drums or driveshaft or whatever is causing a vibration over 65 (tires and wheels have been ruled out). Then... soften the exhaust as I cannot bear the resonation of the Flows betwixt 45 & 55 if ya kno whatimean. Then... Then... Then... Then... and don't forget about that... muttering image

Once, those items are all done, I can focus on the little bitty trim items and buff and shine 'er up for the run. Likely won't change the rear gear but depends upon completing all the above and how much time and $$ is left before the run.

      Great news on the differential!

Just put on a brand new set of BF Goodrich Radial T/A's. Factory size 225 70R 15
My bird is in the cage right now, i thought it would be a good idea to rebuild the original carb before the run. Turns out the thing has never been off the intake and was desperately tired. Also gutting the catalytic converter while I am at it. Maybe I'll pick up a few horsepower along the way.
