   About to start tearing into the engine thats in the 78 that we have yet to narrow down exactly what it is and what the previous owners did to the poor thing...
   
   So we are asking for good pics of pontiac 400's at various stages (in the car assembled, out of the car assembled, partially disassembled in and out of the car, etc). WE believe that the engine may be a 71, but the carf is a 78.. so any and all pics from either or both years would be greatly appreciated.

   Check out my pic's from my Bandit project. The engine is a pontiac 400 out of a 1978 TA.. I also own 3 other 78 Trans am's one (was) unmolested until I needed parts from it. I have several good engine shots that will help. The engine is the 220 horse with the factory chrome valve covers.

   me thinks ye be showin off a bit.... by the way that is one gorgeous motor in the first 2 pics... but the last pic is typical of what I've seen!
   but that is one really purty motor!
