I have 2 projects going at this moment.

79TA/TA; It is in primer and in a thousand pieces. Sad affair at this moment. Need to finish sanding and preppeing all the removed pieces, install all new weather stripping, new front end bushing and springs, new glass all the way around. Then it just needs to be sprayed with color and decaled out. Probably not going to make it this year! bawling image

95 TA; Should be repainted within the next few weeks. Then just needs new windshield and some interior work. Next would be a new Optispark, and cap. More likely that the 95 will be ready.

But then again, there may be a chance that a certain "Red Bandit" may show up, but then that is a whole different story. It will need some work too, but it would be achievable!!!

We have some work for the 78 before she's ready for the long haul...but shouldn't be too hard...

We have to pull the engine and give it a good once over.. replacing some gaskets, capping some vacume leaks, tune the carb, cleaning it up some and then give the engine bay a once over... Then...

      Replace the fuel lines
      Replace the frame rails
Drop the tank and make sure its not leaking up top and flush it out good
Install the newly rebuilt tranny and new converter
Straight pipe the exhaust where we cut the 60 pound weight called the cat.. lol
      Realign the hood
      Install the CB
      A little wiring gremlins
      Wash and Wax
Gas up and hit the run. smile image

(And still working on the 87.. but don't really have the place or the money for it right now... )

My car is not too far away from being done. the fender flairs are being a royal pain but the engine and paint are done. the interior has yet to be touched but i already have the carpet and the seats have been recovered. the dash can stay untouched if i dont get to it, everything works its just not too pretty. i guess all that needs to be done besides that is the exhaust and a sweet foot shaped gas pedal and im south bound and down! steeringwheel image

After what I went through last year to get the '76 T/A ready for Bandit Run 2008, I'm well ahead of the curve. I do have a few things I need to do:

Replace the exhaust, headers all the way out the back (I already have most of the parts from Ram Air Restoration Enterprises)

Find out what's causing the Safe-T-Track to howl, rebuild it if necessary

Remount the CB radio more securely

Toying with the idea of adding LED tailights

      Detail it out

However, being a glutton for punishment and not willing to leave things alone, I am also doing what I can to prepare the '73 T/A as well (I'm trying to talk a friend here locally into making the trip with me as his '79 doesn't have a prayer of being ready in time). On the laundry list:

Remove the dash, replace the wiring harness, headlight switch, circuit board on the rear of the gauge cluster, the clear plastic lens covering the gauges, and the clock
Replace the twelve year old Dunlops with a nice set of BFGs
Radiator flush, replace the thermostat, core out radiator (if necessary)
Replace radio, purchase and install CD changer, and CB radio
Determine why rear brakes are squealing while backing up, repair as necessary
Complete (and I do mean complete) tune-up...plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points
      Oil change
      Replace all rubber fuel lines
Rebuild carburetor with ethanol resistant parts
      Replace fuel pump
      Re-seal weatherstripping around aftermarket t-tops

How's that for starters? (If I learned anything last year, I'll find three times as many things I'll need to do to it before leaving Dallas).

I just spent 2g on the trans for the 02 T/A. Other than a good cleaning it's ready to roll, however I'll be trying to do a touch up/ wet sand to the paint in the spring.
