Just curious as to what new parts or adjustments people are making to their cars for the 2010 Bandit Run?
For me I'm upgrading my 02 Trans Am with Koni 4/4 shocks and struts, Strano lowering springs, and Strano Sway bars. I also had a new transmission put in with a larger stall for this years run. Can't wait for the weather here in IL to warm up so I can get it out and drive.

Ken--
The '76 will be making it's third run this year with new leaf springs, a corrected and revised exhaust system (going with Magnaflow and getting rid of the Spin-Techs, too much resonance at highway speeds). I'm also hoping to get the paint damage on the front left fender repaired.
I'm also trying to bring the Brewster Green '73 for the first time, I'm just about to tear into it and plan on doing the following:
New dash
New dash wiring harness
Reburbish the gauges
New AutoSound radio and CD changer
New Cobra CB radio w/antenna
Sound deadener
New door panels
Complete drive-train, fuel system, brake, power steering, A/C and electrical inspection, replacing or repairing anything not up to par
New heater core
Flush cooling system
Replace the thermostat
Belts and hoses
New tires
...and finally, a good, thorough cleaning
Starting soon, it looks like I won't have many free weekends until May.

Got a whole new car this year, 77 S/E but it was mostly a base model with tops, pwr windows, rear defrost & 8 track as options. I just installed dash, glove box, & trunk courtesy lights. Saw Gene Simmons in Louisiana one night filming GSFJ. Couldn't see a dang thing to find a pen for an autograph. Dont want that to happen again should we see Burt
Any day above ground is a GOOD day!!!

Well the Sun is out and Shining. Temps are almost in the 60's today and they are talking about snow saterday night.
I'm pulling the car out of it's long hibernations tonight. She's been in there since October of 08
Goal for tonight is to run all the gas out of her.
With the crappy weather I'll start tearing into her this weekend and hope to have everything back together by next weekend when the weather starts to get better. Just I've got springs, shocks/struts, and swaybars sitting on the porch to get in. Plus just spend another $400 on parts like colder plugs, SS brake lines, and an electric nitrous gauge. Working on the car is very addictive. How's this thing go back together???

Update: I managed to get the car home last friday night after work. Saterday it snowed so I stayed inside......
Monday I started on the rear end. Managed to get the new shocks and springs along with sway bar installed. Swapped out the Drag Radial tires for street tires. Put the car on the ground and all I could say was WOW! It's low. Only 1.2" but what a difference. Plus my back tires are a little low on air.
Tuesday i pulled the front apart.
Wednesday took the springs and struts to work and swapped out the upper and lower spring perches and re-assembled. That night, only had an hour to work on the car, managed to pull the front sway bar off. Was going to put the new one on before putting on the struts but.... When I opened the box for the sway bar end links I was shorted a bolt. So I called it a night. So today after work I've got to track down another bolt and should have the front all back together tonight. I've still got to do some painting down there. It's supposed to rain all day
so no test drive. How's this thing go back together???

My Bandit goes into the shop on April 2nd for the fourth and possibly final phase of upgrades. I' getting a ProCharger Supercharger put on and electric cut-outs on the exhaust. 700 horsepower is what is expected on the dyno but we'll see. This should complete my vision of a "Modern Day Bandit" that has the feel of the original and the performance of a supercar. I hope everything comes out ok.
Take care one and all and I'm looking forward to seeing ya on the run.Manny
