And so another seemingly innocent adventure begins. The last time this happened was about 2:42 am in Daytona. The hotel folks weren't real happy. I think some other folks might like to play along with us. Is this standing still or driving by? Who will be the judge?
Dang...this sounds like fun... count me in for certain! Can I uncap the pipes? what are the rules? Just need to be louder than GTOStan.

I suppose it's just who makes the most noise. I'd add a cutout but the Corsa exhaust really doesn't have a muffler to cutout. I'm thinking if we could find a patch of wet pavement it could get exciting or maybe just a stretch of road where we can have a viewing stand for the judge(s)----and the innocense starts to fade away.GTO Stan

Sounds good to me.
Hopefully the shiny parts I ordered gets here soon. I want to make sure everything is clamped tight before going on 3000+ mile road trip. Not to mention getting my AC fan fixed so that it blows some AC my way. I hear it gets hot down south otherwise I wouldn't worry about it.
We should judge the noise competition by how many complaints each participant gets from non enthusiasts.-Drew

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend, the '73 was finally at a point to do a shake-down run back to Dallas after being at 7879TA's shop in east Texas for an extended stay while we prepped the car (as documented in previous posts) over the past six months.
Jackie and I drove down early Saturday morning, we put a fresh battery in it, made sure all the fluids were good and all the bolts were tight, and I brought her home, pretty much without incident.
I did have one panic stop due to a clueless driver in Greenville making a last minute left turn across three lanes of traffic from the far right lane and need to double-check the brakes. The car ran cool and got about twelve MPG (THAT'S going to hurt), I still need to have the A/C recharged, re-wire the stereo speakers, install the CD changer, get the t-tops tinted and sealing better, and few other odds and ends but would have to say it's about 95% done. The biggest incident (aside from the brakes) was getting sunscreen in my eyes just outside of Lone Oak, TX.
A HUGE thank you to James for all the blood, sweat, and back pain as a result of working on the car with me (and many times, for me). You're a good friend, my man.
Here's a photo of the beast just moments before hopping in and talking off for home:

Year One would have matched your price on the piece if you had told them you were a bandit runner. They usually do very well for us runners.
