Back in 1984, I totalled my '77 400 4-speed TA, but have kept a bunch of parts from it for the past 20+ years, including the CB I had in it.
It's been bounced around all these years from place place in different storage locations, and this past weekend, I finally found it.
I cleaned it up, connected the wires to an adapter for the cigarette lighter, and the thing works! Really made my weekend and will be great to have for the Bandit Run.
As for my handle, I'm not very creative so I guess I'll just go with my Mototopia name, DualCarbGuy.Justin Hockersmith
aka J. Hock.

I'm guessing it won't work with the cb's. What you have is compatible to a short wave radio. You could grab a Motorola from Walmart or get on ebay. How's this thing go back together???

Here's a photo below. Click on the link. Also, according to the add, Sam's had these Midland's on sale for $33 smacks. Not bad for a handheld 40 channel!

Luckily there is a "CB shop" a few miles away. Nice older man with lots of knowledge. He sold us a used CB and antenna; total $50. Made sure it worked in the car and checked again when we were driving home. We're ready! Larry and Susan
