The Quarter-final matchups are ready to go. If you haven't already challenged your opponent, now's the time!

      ---------- Bracket 1 ----------

      3fan4ever's "BLACKMAGIC"
      vs.
      RTMan18's "LIGHTNING"

      ---------- Bracket 2 ----------

      corvairjim's "ASHLEY"
      vs.
      RTMan18's "RED DRAGON"

      ---------- Bracket 3 ----------

      twhotrod1968's "1WLDTRK"
      vs.
      slamed400s10's "STRIP T'S"

      ---------- Bracket 4 ----------

      Peercy2's "EXP"
      vs.
      Funkleberry's "THE COMMUTER"

OK, so we aren't going to win it all... (my Corvair's in here, too!) We can still have some fun with it! There are still some damn nice rides competing here, so get out there and "Git 'er done"! Remember: Vote Early, and Vote Often!

I'll be going over the results of this round in both the Primary and Consolation divisions, and posting the next round of challenges soon; hopefully tomorrow (Sunday, 4/27) after the NASCAR race. Hey, I gotta have my priorities!

There seems to have been a failure to communicate here, so I'm going to have to give a couple of guys another chance, just to be fair, since I don't want to call any forfeits this late in the game. It seems that two of the challenges for the last round either weren't issued, or weren't accepted. I will be sending out reminders to 3fan4ever (Blackmagic) to issue a challenge to RTMan18 (Lightning), and Peercy2 (EXP) to send a challenge to funkleberry (The Commuter). In the other two challenges this round, the results are in: twhotrod1968's 1wldtrk took out slamed400s10's Strip T's 73-22, and my own Ashley (the prettiest Corvair in the crew) won out over RTMan18's Red Dragon. My car will face the winner of the Blackmagic/Lightning challenge, and 1wldtrk goes with the winner of the one between EXP and The Commuter.

Sorry, Kenny, but I'm afraid you are. weepy image Of course, there's nothing stopping you from challenging another crewbie that put up a decent showing in the Tournament, if you like. Also, if the interest is there, I might be talked into making this a semi-regular thing. I was thinking two or three times a year (MAX!).

I don't think I could put together more "Consolation Rounds" for each round in the "Primary" class. My thinking was that I can have a "Runner Up" sort of thing for guys who didn't take at least one round, just for fun (Actually, the whole thing was just for fun, wasn't it?). I'm not thinking of pitting the winner of the "Primary" round against the winner of the "Consolation" round. If those two POUNDsters want to go for it, that's up to them once those two cars are decided. wink image
