The original owner of this '71 Chevy Nomad (NOT Chevelle Nomad - Chevy wagons were considered a seperate line from the midsize and full-size cars) called it the "Golden Slipper" and the name stuck. He special ordered it with a 4-barrel 400 small block backed up by a 4-speed stick and a posi rear. It seems that he got tired of paying the high insurance premiums on his 340 Dustrer and found out that the insurance companies didn't look at the drivetrain combos in wagons!
