Description: This is my friends car he purchased about 8 years ago virtually stock but fresh from a recent restoration. Body was spotless from top to bottom. absolutely a gem underneath. He liked my car so much and hated the other
high priced over rated speed shops he gave me the car to transform the interior and engine. this is the result of over two years of work I really didn't want cause a big block is so so tight in the engine bay.

The 390 block received new Edelbrock heads with huge Stainless Steel valves, a new Edelbrock Intake ported to match the heads. Then a large Cobra oil Pan and windage tray plus some oil reduction plugs to prevent crankshaft oil starvation took care of the the now 9 quart oil capacity! (It already had an oil cooler I had installed)
when the engine was out I reccomended going rack and pinion with power assist. the cleanest system I found was the system from Unisteer located @ http://www.unisteer.com. This system stll allowed the use of the full length hooker headers we wanted to use that started this whole project ( headers wont fit the 67 GTA heads as the bolt pattern is unique to the stock exhaust manifolds) So off came the stock heads! I also set up the brakes with a proportioning valve to add rear disc brakes to the 9 inch rear. once the Unisteer was mocked up to fit ( using stainless steel stud mounts coated with JB weld rather than the kits bolts) it was pulled and the engine bay was cleaned and degreased for paint. ( later the original brake booster died and I had to replace with the engine in place uugh! ) take a look this is one sweet ride !
