This is an awesome creation.

The rules change as to what NASCAR dictates....not the manufacturer.

I have been wondering about what CorvairJim said about the models of cars used today. The rule book does state that the car has to be a car that can be bought in a showroom. None of the cars run today in the cup series are available in the showrooms.

I miss the days when you could take one look at a NASCAR stock car and know immediately what kind of car it was. This car is clearly a Pontiac Ventura, not a Nova, not a Skylark. Today, it's hard to tell the difference between a Fusion and a Camry, an Impala and a Charger... And NONE of them are legal under the rule book, which clearly states that the cars must be based on American-built coupes, 2-door sedans, or 2-door hardtops. It's been that way since the late 1950's. All of the current Cup cars are based on 4-door sedans (although the new Nationwide Ford and Dodge are based on Mustang and Challenger coupes).
