E.L.Cord produced some of the greatest cars of the Golden Era of American cars; The Auburn, Cord, and Duesenberg lines. One of the all-time greatest automotive designers, Gordon Buehrig, was responsible for most of these cars' designs, including this gorgeous L-29. What most car nuts don't realize is that he was also responsible for the design of the first Ford Thunderbirds some 25 years later, and he followed them up with the incredible (and incredibly expensive for the time) Continental Mark II.
