- Description: I'm building this model as part of a friendly competition on a model car website with the premise: "If you were to have run in the Cannonball race in 1962, what car would you have chosen? Now build a model of it"! I recently acquired this basic model in a trade and decided to build it for this contest. I'm combining the wagon kit with the more detailed chassis and drivetrain from a more recent and better detailed model of a 1957 Chrysler 300C. Yes, my wagon WILL have a HEMI! I decided on a station wagon because of it's stealth factor, it's cargo room, and it's large rear deck with the 2nd and 3rd seats folded down, so the 3rd crew member can catch some sleep when he's not driving or navigating.
