Photos in the “Woodbridge NJ Main St Cruise Night 6-15-2011” Album
- Description: So, how could I describe the first for the season Woodbridge NJ Main St Cruise Night? How about fantastic. The turnout of vehicles and spectators, equaled, maybe even exceeded, what I (Ben Deutschman), witnessed over 10 years ago, when the Woodbridge NJ Main St Cruise Night first started. The vehicles filled Main St on both sides for over a 1/4 mile, they were parking cars down the side streets, in alley ways, and any Parking Lots adjacent to Main St that could be utilized. As the DJ (Chuck Leonard) said, maybe it was because the weather had been so unpredictable over the previous several days, and it was forecast to be the same for the rest of the week, that everyone who could, made it their business to be at this event. Whatever the reason, it was a pleasure to see this event at its best, as it had been oh so many years ago. Hopefully the July and August Cruise Nights on Main St in Woodbridge NJ, will be just as packed.
The last photo in the series you are viewing here, was taken in a Parking Lot, on the Campus of Rutgers University, New Brunswick NJ (my Alma Mater). The motley assortment of Trucks and Trailers in the background, comprise what is known as "Grease Trucks", which many current Rutgers students, and this Alumni will tell you, make the BEST fat sandwiches around.
