Description

We would like to welcome everyone to the official website for the "Hot Summer Nites Rod Runt" that will be held in Norfolk, Nebraska. This show is open to all cars and trucks through 1982 and all years of motorcycles. This show is held in association with the 20th annual Norfolk area Rod and Custom Club. It will be held on July 20th- 22nd, 2007 at the Karl Stefan Memorial Airport in Norfolk.

Activities for the weekend will include the following: Beer Garden, Team RCMX will perform, a car corral will be there for all the saleable vehicles, a "Diamond Dig", burnout contest for all the horse-power showers, and the first ever RPM drags (this is a new contest - don’t miss it!). There will also be a topnotch bikini contest, which will take place on Saturday, a cruise nite on Friday night, followed by a drive-in movie. The Nebraska Rocks will be performing Saturday night (these bands will play tunes from the 50's, 60's, and 70's that we all grew up on). One of the coolest things that will take place during the show will be the "Fly in Breakfast" on Saturday morning at the airport - sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association. We're all looking forward to this event!

Believe it or not, we will be adding even more events and things for you to do at a later date. We want to fill your weekend up with fun and excitement for the whole family. Oh! I almost forgot – there will be judging for all vehicles on both Friday and Saturday. This will be done by an independent judging team, flown in just for this event.

Special Guest
We are please and honored to welcome one of America's finest hot rod enthusiast, builder, and spokesman as our special quest for this year. He and his creations have covered the pages of all major magazines for the last two decades, and he has one of the top rated television shows on the TLC network. He has built cars for some of the greatest names in movies, television, and sports. His accomplishments go on and on, and we are extremely lucky to have him and his lovely wife with us this weekend. We do not need to say anymore except to welcome Mr. Boyd Coddington and his wife Jo to Nebraska!

As of this writing, we are looking for a couple of Boyd's creations. We invite anyone around the Nebraska area to e-mail us; we want to see you and vehicle Boyd built for you at the show! We will have a special tent for you to park under and be part of the show!

Again, we invite all to be a part of this great event and have a great weekend with all of us in Nebraska!
