Americruise 2007 -- The Cruise 13 Give this video a trophy

This is a video of the 2007 AmeriCruise in Lincoln, NE. It has my Monza "Louie the Lizard" pulling out and behind me is my buddies 652 HP 72 Vega I helped him build. It has a lot of Monzter Racing in it. These can get out of hand throughout the night. Good thing they always caught me at my best behavior.

Oct 14, 2008 at 9:33 am: You know, I've been involved as organizer of an event like this where the 'spectators' (people along the sidelines) caused trouble, and ultimately ruined a car event for us enthusiasts. Things like this can quickly get out of hand, and I guess you have to be involved with it to understand just how quickly things can transpire. . .Like they say, it's all fun until someone loses an eye, or worse!! Cat calls for burnouts make for a dangerous situation where, in an instant, a vehicle can have parts breakage or get out of control. . .taking out a whole row of these not-so-innocent by-standers. Then everyone goes into lawsuit mode and the car guys and the event are ultimately the ones that suffer. I'm not a police officer and don't envy their job one bit, but sure hate to see the car guys and car events/organizers suffer for 'spectator ignorance'.

St. Lou has been having problems in North City with cruisers on weekends, they are cracking down hard, because it's in a neighborhood and people who live there don't like the commotion and it messes up traffic for emergency vehicles to get thru. Babe and I are too chicken for this, I can see where it could get out of hand very
easily.

Oct 13, 2008 at 5:43 am: Back in 1981 we had a cruise night in Brockton that Car Craft magazine took pic's of, and the Brockton police went around smashing the car's windows and headlight's not to mention the body damage they caused. The Cop's were worse than the cruisers ever could have been! Long live cruising!!!
