Took Dragonbird to the opening of the Bristol Street Fights last Saturday, March 31, 2012. My best friend and sister, Bethany (Firebirdfest) also ran her '88 GTA, Emma. This was her first time ever racing on a dragstrip. She done good for her first time :) She did scratch third and let up on the throttle before gettin to the 1/4 mile mark, but hey, the first time down you're entitled to a couple mistakes, lol. But all in all she did real good her first time. She even beat me out of the hole, lol. I ran a 14.3 and Bethany ran a 16.1. Of course she would've ran faster but those 2 booboos cost her a bit. She was gonna run one more time, but mother nature decided it was time for it to rain :( We still had fun and now Bethany has been bit with the drag race bug :D
