Body Filler: Magic Bullet or Easy Way Out? Pt. 3 of 3 Video V8TV Trophies: 1 Give this video a trophy

Body Filler can either be your best friend or worst enemy, but how is this mysterious substance both good and bad at the same time? And what is this stuff, anyway? In this 3-part V8TV mini-series, we take a look at what body filler is, how it should be used, and why it has such a good and bad reputation at the same time. We show the differences between traditional body filler and new technology fillers like Evercoat Quantum-1 and the proper mix ratios of each.

In our shop, we sand our filler with 320 grit paper to help eliminate sand-scratch swelling or "sucking" as the paint cures out. We also let the primer dry for a couple days before we sand on it. Filling sand scratches with primer is like filling facial wrinkles with make-up, eventually the truth shows!
