Cool Ride of the Week (Sept 8, 2011)

September 8th, 2011 by JerryandMary

Still had to pass up some very cool rides because of incomplete garages. We did manage to find ten cool rides to choose from. This is the ride we chose from the ten. Congratulations Gtdhw on having your 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS (The NMC Machine) chosen as the Cool Ride of the Week for Sept 8, 2011. You can view this very cool ride and Gtdhw’s garage here.

Take care,

This member has a couple of great cars, and I can’t decide if I like this Camaro or his V-8 Vega wagon better. The body and paint work on both of them are fantastic, and they perform every bit as well asthey lok.

This car is an absolute work of art… A work of art that can incidentally turn a 10-second 1/4 mile! It takes an artist to do the quality of metalwork and paint shown on this magnificent Camaro. I sometimes get a little tired of one 1st-generation Camaro after another (they sometime seem to prove the adage: “They’re like bellybuttons – everybody has one”!), but a car this special makes it worthwhile to wade through all of the other “Me Too” cars.

If you’re impressed by this ride, check out his flamed-out black ’72 V-8 Vega Panel Delivery too. That car is nearly as quick and maintains it’s full factory interior! Imagine being an elementary school age kid and having daddy come to pick you up in a car like that – I know that’s one station wagon no kid would be ashamed to be seen in!

Thanks for the kind words! I am very appreciative. Truly humbled. It’s nice to see that others appreciate all the hard work that goes into building something. I’m a pretty humble, quiet guy, but I can’t lie, it’s nice to be recognized. Thanks again!
