Scores of Drivers Ring in Spring at VIR With Laps for Charity

Who said driving around a track is just for race car drivers? Hundreds of lucky drivers got to enjoy a beautiful day at the track while they raised money for charity on April 1 when Virginia International Raceway teamed up with the Ronald McDonald House Charities.®

The track hosted various makes and models for the event, which offered a 20-minute session on VIR’s esteemed North Course for just $25.00, and all proceeds benefited six Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) locations in the Southeast. In addition, the makers of the Aerial Atom race car offered $10.00 hot laps, with $2.00 per lap going to the charity. Even seasoned competitive drivers were astounded at the Aerial Atom’s incredible performance. (more…)
