    There are TWO possible correct answers for this question! The best-selling NAMEPLATE is C, the Toyota Corolla. Over 14 generations of the car, 14 different unique platforms, the Corolla name has sold more vehicles than any other. But as for cars based on a single platform design, A, the Volkswagen Beetle, from 1936 through 1999(?) was the best selling car, easily outselling second place B, the Ford Model T.
