In 1928… Hmmm… Well, in calendar year 1928, Chevrolet was on top with over 1,000,000 “National Series” units built, but for model year 1928, Ford led with 780,000 units of the “Model A”. To the best of my knowledge, third place for both for the calendar year and model year went to Buick.
