1938 Chevrolet Pickup (FlatBlack38)
Last updated Apr 15, 2011
When I was 13 me and my dad were looking in the valley trader(newspaper like full of things forsale and full of ads) and we already had a 1938 pickup which was my mothers. We saw that the phone number was local within a 5 minute drive from our house beleive it or not, the trucks frame was already complete, painted lime green, its painted lime green because of the man who was building it has a hurst and paint his hurst that color, he died a few years back.. The body was stripped down to bare metal with bondo on it, in some spots it had a 1/2 inch of bondo on it trying to cover up rust. We bought it, brought it home, it sat in the garage while we worked on various other project for ourselves and friends. We started working on it one day, just observing mistakes of the previous owners, 2 stupid mistakes, welding the vent shut, and shaving the hindges for the crank out window. Finished the body work, painted the truck flat black, and after the truck was finished, i wanted it patinaed so we did that and turned out fair. Theres so much to talk about but typing it all would take weeks. Sorry if you wanted to know more.
Unknown block size, numbers were sanded off, rare 1967 camaro z/28 snowflake intake. Its been around 130mph on the street. probably 375hp around that.
Oh god, i wish i knew.
