Cudacruzer is right - you see old Dodge and Ford trucks with small block Chevys in them at all the classic car shows. Must be easier or cheaper. I'm thinking our Cuda65vpt will stay Mopar. ;-)

Make it look stock, but throw a nice 440 or 392 Hemi in it if there's room, not that there's anything wrong with it but don't go with a small block chevy !!! LOL !!!

Is there such a thing as a stock street rod? I plan to keep it as close to stock as possible but I hope this is it's last ride on a trailer if you know what I mean.

One question: Stock restoration or street rod? From a starting point like this, I could see it going either way with great results. Keep us updated! thumbsup image

I got all the parts with it. the fender is in the cab and the running board is in the bed. I will get more parts later this week. The grandfather of the PO was planning a restore and collected some of the niceties.

Oh well, missing a front fender. But that can be acquired. Great project. Can't wait to see the progress. Going to be awesome if it is like your other one.

I have always had a problem with paint at exposed piano hinges and that is why Mary and I usually changed the hood setup. Love the project.
