Great to see an Americar that isn't a dragster. There are guys that seem to think they all came from the factory as Gassers! Neat old car.

What a great car. Seems like in the old days a new car was a little more affordable. (plus they didnt last as long)

About

I learned to drive in this car. My father bought it new in Denver before he left for the Philippines never to return. Dad had always bought new cars and they were always Willys, originally Knights then Overland which became Willys Overland then simply Willys. He bought one Chevy in the 30's drove it for a week or so and took it back to the dealer. Told them he wanted his money back, that the car was no good because all it wanted to do was head for the ditch when ever he let go of the wheel. Needless to say he went back to Willys.
We owned this car from 1941 til 1954 when it was traded for the 1952 Olds Super 88 that is shown in this album. It was still running but just didn't have the umph to make our annual trips to Colorado anymore. It had never been overhauled.
The color was Maroon, that's why it looks soo faded.
