This coupe has been a hot rod for a long time in one form or another. I got it from Texas about 2 yrs. ago and have been having alot of fun with it ever since. It's a "driver" and not a perfect "show car" or "trailer queen." However, I do show it and it's very popular. You should be able to drive it anywhere if you can afford the gas!

The drive train: 454 Chevrolet bored out .100" which would make it a 476 c.i. according to my calculations. It was rebuilt just before I got it and probably has no more than 2000 mi. on it. Pretty much stock internally I think. It may have a mild cam, I don't know. Cast iron manifolds, Edelbrock Performer aluminum manifold with a big Holley carb, Street Scoop, manual advance distributor, nice cast aluminum "Bandit" valve covers, aluminum radiator with electric fan. It has gobs of power. Three speed GM manual transmission with a Hurst shifter. New clutch and explosion proof bellhousing. Custom built driveshaft/open Ford differential (not a 9") unknown ratio. Battery is in the trunk.

The body: 1950 Ford coupe "long tail". Frenched headlights with "cat eyes." Shaved door handles with electric solenoids that could use adjustment, shaved trunk,dual electric antennas, radiused rear wheel openings, dummy spots, molded in hood with the center left open, 1949 grille, custom tail lights. I just installed a brand new Mustang gas tank and sending unit, however the guage doesn't seem to read accurately. The paint is designed to look like it has a "patina." There is slight damage to the left headlight where it bumped a work bench. There are chips and scratches that would be found in any "driver." It is not perfect. The police "gumball" is included and the wires are there to hook it up. I took it off to avoid hassles and just set it on at car shows.

The interior: I don't know what the buckets are out of, but they fit the theme. The door panels are new and there is a new in the box headliner (not installed) included. It has a rollbar, more for show than anything else and brand new seat belts and shoulder harnesses. Lots of guages, a cheap tach, Cadillac tilt and telescopic column. The glass is good except for one rear side glass and passenger door glass, which are cracked. The front vent windows need new pivots. It has old police radios (not working) and microphone, in keeping with the theme.

Suspension: Rebuilt stock except for a heavy duty JAMCO sway bar that I just installed. Drum brakes that were rebuilt just before I got it. Air shocks in the rear.
