1951 Chevrolet Styleline (Mild 51)

Trophies: 8 Give a trophy Last updated Oct 26, 2009

Photo of a 1951 Chevrolet Styleline (Mild 51)

I traded my 1977 Chevy truck for this car. When I got it , it had the factory 216 and 3 speed. One night coming back from a cruise in Ohio, one of the babbits ( old style rod bearing) decided that 50 plus years of service was enough. So now I'm doing a late model engine swap along with a S-10 differential and a Turbo 350 transmission. It's a long hard road since I'm trying to go cheap and keep the project affordable.

Currently getting a Small block backed by a turbo 350 transmisson and a ten bolt rear differential.

Factory Options

It was a Styleline base model, there really weren't many options to be had. So , this car was kinda bare bones.

Lowered 4 inches in the back and 3 inches in the front. Nosed and decked.
