1955 Chevrolet Post Sedan Bel-Air (Paul)
Last updated Sep 14, 2012
I spotted this 1955 2-door Bel-Air post sedan under a car port years ago. I finally made a deal on the car over a year ago.
So far the direction of the car has emulated a 1960's era Hot Rod. A car likely to be seen in a high school parking lot in the 1960's with aluminum slotted mags, a 283 Power Pak, a 700r4 overdrive trans and updated disk brakes. As of now, 3:73 gears for the rear, but I am hoping to find a 3:42 or 3:55 set for potential road trips!
This rolled out of Chevrolet a true Bel-Air sedan covered in solid white. Chevrolet called it "India Ivory" The only option I can really see was a radio.
The paint scheme is going to be a way cool flat black Hot Rod with red pin stripes and red accents in the interior. I am going to add a street rod air conditioning. I am going to relocate the battery to the trunk to un clutter under the hood (perhaps for the MSD box?) I am going to add suttle amenities such as hidden cup holders and funky interior lights in the glove box, trunk, and under the dash.
