About
Got this 56 with only the body and bed. Had to put a chassis to get it moving so I opted with a 85 2wd 3/4 ton suburban frame (has the same wheel base, but the frame had to be shortened). I recently acquired a donor 87 suburban 3/4 ton 2wd with a 454 TBI and a TH400. I'm now in the overwhelming process of moving it all over to the installed chassis. I had to completely restructure the cab floor, footboard, and firewall so that the engine and tranny would fit.
