- The TR3 s are such great-looking cars, Jaguar had nothing on them in styling.

- This car would have been awesome when finished! It's a real shame what happened to it. I love my muscle but I'd love to take a car like this around a nice stretch of tight alpine road.

- It's so sad what happened to this car. It looks like it would have been a lot of fun to drive on a sunny day!

About
This is a car that I had a half-interest in all the way back in 8th grade! (The pictures aren't the actual car - They are pics of various cars gleaned from the Internet.) It seems it had belonged to my best friend's father when he was much younger, but the man had lost interest in it and gave it to his son... after it had sat in an unheated garage for well over a decade. (The anti-freeze had congealed in the radiator and throughout the cooling passages of the engine to the consistency of mint-green peanut butter!) My friend wasn't mechanically inclined in the least, so he told me that if we worked on it together and managed to get it running, it was half mine! Over the next couple of months, we made great progress on it, until that fateful night when the garage was struck by lightning. It burned to the ground with the car inside. The main support beam of the garage's roof fell squarely across the car, bending the car's frame to the floor of the garage. The gas tank went up, interior was toast, and the bodywork and wire wheels were warped beyond repair.
