The first coat of filler to even everything out. After 40+ years, the molds have shifted a little and the pieces didn't line up exactly right.

It's Squadron green putty, available at any hobby shop. I like the green better than the white because it's harder when dry. With the white putty, it's very easy to remove too much when you're sanding it.
