About
It runs like a raped ape. I saved this car from a guy who hit brick walls, dumpsters and anything else that could leave a bad mark (hence "bruiser" title). I am slowly workin it back into shape. I am continuing to make it custom factory stock. Keeping and/or repairing all the old goodies to work like new. Even keeping the awesome boat steering wheel it came with, coz who the hell keeps them anyway? to me, it dont have the classic feel unless all the classic stuff is there.
Specs
I tore out the original 283 and the "slip and slide" powerglide and tossed in a loaded NON CRATE 350 with a fat cam and shoved a muncie 4 speed with a Hurst Comp stick to beat the gears with. The 3.08 Posi in the rear leaves a few black stripes... but i dont complain. The 2 1/2" Flowmaster 40's drown out the whiners pretty well.
The whole thing now rides on energy suspension bushings.
Currently going all back to custom factory stock on the interior. All interior is getting worked and repainted...by me. Found some original buckets, moldy as hell, I stripped them to the frame and built them back up. Laid in gloss black paint, padding, carpet, headliner, door panels and a new windshield. Still keeping the primer gray paint for now...
Factory Options
It has a rare tilt steering wheel... can you believe that?
Mods
There isnt a sqaure inch on this sucker I havent been on :)
I've modded tons on it...for the better.
