About
Restored in 1987 or so in Muskegon, MI, this car looks quite original. It has chrome wire wheels and a luggage rack, both available as add ons at the dealership. The 289 has been set up to look and run like the HiPerf of the day. I have added custom exhaust with headers and Flowmaster mufflers. Gas shocks up front and air shocks in rear help to raise the car a tad so the new tires don't rub the wheel wells. When we go to car shows, we set up a display with 1965 items. My wife and I both graduated from High School that year, so this car means a lot to both of us. I call her Big Red because that is the name of the High School's sports teams, the Big Reds.
