1965 Ford Thunderbird (Vogel)
Last updated Oct 9, 2006
When I first saw this car at an auto dealer here in Germany, I didn't believe my eyes. Never had I seen anything like it over here. When the dealer opened the doors for me the next day I was in awe - what an interior!
The car had been sitting 10 years in a garage and never been moved. It had 55.000 miles on it, the interior looked almost as new, the outside had suffered from 10 years of dust. Paint was very dull, a few small spots of rust. I was going on holiday that day and didn't want to make hasty decisions. The result: I couldn't get that monster out of my head and thought about nothing else. The day of my return I immediately called and bought it.
I had the car polished and was really amazed at the paintjob after all these years. I really enjoy riding it.
The "Vogel" (german for "bird") drives like a boat and makes people turn their heads on the autobahn :-)
