1966 Chevrolet Nova (Easy Going)
Last updated Jul 27, 2012
I bought this car in 1977 not long after getting married. It was a nice car to drive, and got about 27 MPG on the highway. Unfortunately, I drove it year round and it didn't take long for the New York salt to eat through the fenders and trunk. Then, to further add to the abuse, one day when my wife was driving she spun out on ice and a taxi-cab that had been tailgating her T-boned the passenger side, totaling it (bent frame). Nonetheless, I continued to drive it a couple more years (but it sure wore out front tires fast) before selling it in 1980 to a guy who intended to restore it.

Automatic transmission, AM radio and full wheel covers is all I remember.
I sometimes ran 14-inch wheels in the rear instead of the stock 13-inch.
