About
My Pontiac Parisienne Sport Sedan, Model 76439, came off the production line in Oshawa Ontario, Canada on January 17 1966. The next day it was shipped to dealer Jim Pattison in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
It was brought to Ottawa Ontario, Canada by a member of the military.
I purchased the car in the summer of 1988.
It was featured in:
Canadian Classics magazine Dec 1999
Ottawa Sun newspaper "Memory Lane" June 2002
Motortopia "Feature Challenge" Jan 2007
Specs
For those who may be interested in the technical specifications of this car, Canadian Pontiacs of this era were built on a Chevrolet frame, with a Chev drive-train.
This 1966 Pontiac rides on a 119" wheelbase, and measures 215.8" overall. Its 16.5 gallon fuel tank provides plenty of range for "cruising" in Eastern Ontario.
General Motors of Canada has researched this vehicle, and has confirmed that it is a numbers matching car. It retains the original 195 H.P. 283 C.I.
V-8.
It also retains it's original exterior and interior colour schemes; black on black
Factory Options
The car was optioned with a 2 speed Powerglide transmission, Power Steering, and Pushbutton Radio.
Mods
None
