1969 Oldsmobile 442 (Terror-of-82nd-Ave)
Last updated Oct 24, 2011
First muscle car I owned. Got it when I was 20 and in college. Tons of fun and grabbed eveyones attention on 82nd Ave in Portland, Oregon back when you could curise that street on Friday and Saturday nights. Oh ya and it could really go. Beat a 69 blown Z28 at Woodburn Drag Strip in 1980. Regular cruises to the Oregon coast were also part of its life. Got wreaked in 1981 and sold for what I paid for it. I have seen the car twice more in the decades since. The guy that bought it fixed it. Please note: The car pictured is as close as I could find on Google Images. Mine has body matching red rally wheels.
The usual items that made up the "Gentlemans Hot Rod" as my Dad called it, since it was a comfortable highway car as well as in the city light to light rocket.
Usual factory stuff 400, 4 barrel, dual exhaust, air conditioning, power eveything except seats and windows, and a kick ass factory stereo with 8 track.
