1970 AMC AMX 390 Go Pack (Junk Yard Betty)
Last updated Oct 9, 2008
This car was rescued from the Junk yard. Several people before me cobbled it back together with tons of bondo and paint.
The 390 engine was poorly put back together resulting in several cracked pistons. Engine was rebuilt in 1995 by an individual currently employed by a major NASCAR team.
In 2006 tru 2007 car was striped to bare metal, all bondo removed and new metal in its place. The engine was removed and repainted, and undercarriage strengthen after years rusting in a junk yard.
Car was a Code 90 (Lime Gold Poly) Shadow Mask car. As I truly dislike that color I decided on Big Bad Orange, with gloss metalic black shadow, instead of the OEM Flat Black.
