I am the third owner of the car. It has been in my family since it was orderd. My uncle wanted a SS but couldn't afford insurance on a SS Chevelle. He ordered a Malibu with these installed options. Domed Hood, Race stripes, Headers, SS gages and dome light, 4-speed on the floor, SS center counsel, Bucket seats, 12 bolt rear end, SS wheels. It looks like an SS however it still has all the Malibu chrome trim and the engine emblem on the side panels. I think it is pretty rare. It is all numbers matching and only has 87000 miles on it.
