- Description: car was painted monza red in 1976 a 1970 corvette color. the original color was laugna grey...i purchase aug 28th 1986. It was monza red for the first 23 years i had it. it was repainted the factory original color nov 1 2009. i was shocked at first. like who's car is that. certainly not mine...it took a couple of days to grow on me..........besides i am in my gray years now also
