Last updated Oct 7, 2010
I have owned The Cortina from new and started racing her in 1971 and are still road racing her..
It has been work in progress for the past 40 years. Now has a "Pinto" 2.3 SOHC, Esslinger AL head and billet cam, Weber 50 DCO carbs, and Race Engineering short block . Puts out about 240 HP at the flywheel. Transmission is a WC-T-5 and diff is a Winters Mini Quick Change.
Front suspension is a modified strut with a strut rod set up and the rear suspension is a 3 link with adj Panhard Rod and sway bar. Brakes are a combination of Wilwood and Tilton.
The original body shell is still their but the flared front and rear
(IMSA style) fenders are fiberglass.
WE continue to road race "The Cortina " at Atlantic Motorsport Park here in Nova Scotia, Canada
