About
This is a 1970 Mustang I owned in High School in 1988 til 1995 when I had a dumb ass attack and sold it.
My uncle bought in 1971 and drove it from Nebraska to Miami the next day to see the Huskers play in the National Championship game. He drove it until 1976 or so when it was parked with 104,000 miles on it. Fast forward to 1988, it is sitting next to a shed in the country and has had three flood that I know of fill the car over the hump in the floor boards. Major mouse house now too.
I'm 18 in 1988 and he gives me the car for helping out around the farm. My dad and I drag it out of the ground, literally, with a tractor. We drain what is left of the fluids and refill the oil, water and a little fuel. Added a new battery, dumped a little fuel down the carb and fired it right up! It belched out all kinds of nastiness but it ran and ran strong.
We spent the rest of the summer getting it mechanically sound and rebuilding the motor. It was repainted the following year.
