About
I found this car back in august of 2000. It was sitting in an old chicken barn here in Nebraska about 10mi out of town. It was in real good shape with only 66,000 miles on the odometer but it still needed a restoration. It had no engine or tranny and the rear was from a c-body so it could be rolled around.
When I got the car I learned it was an original 383 4-speed but the 383 was blown up back in the 70's and it's had a 440 in ever since, but the guy I got it from took the 440 out along with the tranny, rear, and few other parts and left me with a rolling chassis.
So started a restoration on the car and I put in a nicely built 440 (for now) and replaced everything else. The car was street raced back in the day so I had to replace a lot of small interior parts like the console top and dash pieces from switches for things like nos bottle, elc. fan, and other electronics. I had a good clean car to start with so the resto wasn't to bad. You can see more of my car and other's like it on my website www.heartlandmopars.com We love to chat with other mopar enthusiast.
