This is my 1972 Monte Carlo. This is not a high optioned car, 2bbl, 350, T350 on column, bench seat, but not only is it mine, it used to be mine.
This is the exact car that my wife and I had our first date in May of 1975, I sold the car in September of 1976 and my wife bought it back for Christmas of 2006, so I am the second and forth owner of this car.
Unfortunately the car has sat outside for the last 30 years and needs a complete restoration.
I am doing a frame off restoration and have been working on the car for the last 14 months, have close to 550 hours and $5,000 in parts invested so far.
This isn't a rare or high option car but has a bunch of sentimental value.

Monte Carlo restoration update

Today is May 12, 2009 and another milestone, Ok maybe a mile-pepple, BUT... for the first time in 2.5 years the hood is back on the car! Not adjusted yet but baby steps, baby...

Help!! The Monte is being challenged again, and once again I will probably lose again, (1-5), without your help. There is some progress in the restoration just nothing you can see right now.

HELP!! The poor old Monte is getting it's butt kicked in all the challenges. Doesn't anyone respect an old fashion restoration project. ;-). Just kidding I am up against some solid nice cars here, someday the Monte will kick butts too. Thanks for the votes.
