My first car and one of three Millionth Vega special editions I would own over 34 years (see garage). Ever since I saw a brand new millionth edition in a Chevy showroom (I was14) its been my favorite car. I bought this first one locally in 1977 with 72k miles. I approached the owner wanting to buy it. He had planned on selling, and I bought it that winter.
The original engine was replaced at 120k miles with a rebuilt steel-sleeved unit. I sold the car to a relative in the mid-80s, but got it back a couple of years later. I soon parted with it however due to its deteriorating condition after thirteen years of daily use, but first had the rebuilt engine swapped into a clean 22k miles, silver GT I towed home from Pa. (see garage)
