1973 Ford Mustang Convertible (Mustang Sally)
Last updated Dec 1, 2010
My first old collectible car. Purchased in Jackson, Mississippi in 2004. The reason for purchasing was it had the Ram Air equipment and those parts were worth what was being asked of the whole car. After purchaing I found the car's history and it had been in Mustang Monthly in 1982 as well as the Recognition Guides back then. That started a 3 year restoration project and over $20,000 to get the car back to it's condition in 1982. Restoring a car for me was too stressful. I like to jump on something and knock it out. I had to rely on to many other people for that to happen. I also learned that when someone gives you a date to start be prepared to wait, when they tell you when they will be finished, don't get your hopes up, and when they give you a quote, be prepared to spend more, as unknowns are common. Lesson learned, I will never restore another car. It is much easier to buy one already restored and enjoy it from the get go.
I tried to sell this car for more than a year. Had it listed in several places but finally sold it on ebay. The winter pics are of the car at it's new home in Finland, yes it was exported.
