I bet you were talking about the auto cross at the event center. Yeh I was there, but I think these photos are from the one at Council Bluffs. Still learning to drive this thing and the courses are set up to favor the rice buggies (tight with short straights), but it's still a lot of fun.

You are correct. Our club sponsored the Show n Shine at the Lancaster Event Center. Your plans to up grade your car for Auto Cross sound great. I would like to upgrade my 89 for that, but a convertible is probably a little heavy.

Originally a factory/dealer oddball. 350 2-barrel, 3-speed manual, with rear spoiler. Figure it was probably some sort of a dealer option package.

Currently: 350, .030 over, Steel Crank, Lunati rods, LT-1 Solid Cam, LT-1 Heads, 11:1 Compression, 1.5:1 Roller Rockers, 1 5/8" Headers, 3" Exhaust, T-10 4-speed, 12-bolt rear, 4:56 Gears, Torsen Posi, B-Body spindles with 12" rotors on Front, Howe 2-piston Calipers, 12" Rotors on Rear, Howe Single Piston Calipers, 1000# Front Springs, 150# Rear Springs. Interior completely gutted, caged, 2 race seats, harnesses. Lexan windows all around. Fiberglass front fenders, hood, and front bumper. Fiberglass fender flares on all 4 corners. 16x12" Real Racing wheels, with Hoosier 25x12x16 front and 27x14x16 rear slicks.
Soon to be torn down to a bare shell again, and upgraded with a new rollcage, legal for track events, new front suspension geometry, 3-link rear suspension, coil-overs on all 4 corners, new engine with 13:1 compression, AFR 210 heads, 1 3/4" Hooker headers, 3" exhaust to a single 5" Flowmaster muffler, and less weight.
