1976 Pontiac Trans Am (76 TA)
Last updated Aug 13, 2007
I purchased this car Friday July 13th. Who says tha day isn't lucky. I even got it for $1000 dollars less than the asking price because he couldn't get it started. Car is nearly complete with minimal rust. Oh and a couple weekends, new fluids, a few new parts, some sweat, elbow grease, and $700 dollars later the car runs and is now legal to drive on the streets.
numbers maching Pontiac 400 with the "good" heads but it's still a low compression by product of the mid 70's (for now). Turbo 350 tranny. And 2.43 posi rearend with drum brakes (oh well you can't win em all).
Car is Cameo White with Firethorn Red interior and according to the body tag that is how it came from the factory.
Previous owner installed an Edelbrock 4150 carb and an adapter plate that just barely fit under the shaker. It also has some cheap headers and glasspack mufflers which has made my neighbors very happy.
