That bezel is actually a factory bezel that hasn't been touched. I bought it from GM when they were still available around 1990. It stays inside almost all the time except for an occasional show so the color/tint hasn't been weathered.

The best restoration I have seen is by a seller on Ebay named hickoryhuskercoach. His ebay address is:

http://myworl...yhuskercoach/

He takes his time and does them right. The tint is correct and not fake looking...and I'm pretty tough to please sometimes. smile image If you have an ebay account I would save him as a "favorite" and when one is posted keep an eye out for it. They are nice. That is why you don't see them alot on his site is because it takes him awhile to do one.

BTW, I think if you contact him, he can redo yours. By far he is the best.

Hopes this helps and you have a nice ride yourself! I love all the T/A's Firebirds...such classy cars!

What is the secret to the insert restoration, mine is faded and in need. I would like to do it myself. Did you have someone restore yours or did you do it yourself ?
