you remind me of me when i bought my type lt four years ago, I paid 3800 for mine and everyone was like why did you buy this piece of ****? I always said its not a piece of ****. While everyone else was broke down on the side of the road i was still going with the beat up 305 that was in it. Dont lose hope in this car, it will be the best thing that happened to you. Mine is the best thing that happened to me. Shell look amazing when shes done. I sold mine for two months and it was the worst thing i had ever done, so I sold my z28 that i bought in its place, and got my old girl back. Keep in touch.

Looks like a "Real Fine Place to Start". Besides, if it was done, what fun would that be? Best of luck.

1978 Chevrolet Camarp z28 (Bondo Buggy)

Last updated Apr 1, 2011

Photo of a 1978 Chevrolet Camarp z28 (Bondo Buggy)

I saw the car sitting on the side of the road with $500 written in the dirt on the windshield. That same day I went home and checked my bank acount. From the second I saw it, I knew I had to have it. I told my dad and we went back 2 weeks later to look at it. The interior was shot to hell. The motor was missing. The driver side and passenger side windows were busted out. The passenger side quarter panel had a rust hole in it. The paint was rusty and faded. Everyone called me crazy, they said it wasnt even worth 50, but from the second I touched it, I knew no matter what the price, it was coming home with me. We called the number that day. I ended up paying $300 for it. It was the best 300 dollars Id ever spent, hands down. Ive been grinning like a fool ever since.

Im currently purchasing a 350 motor. I plan on dropping a 454 in it when its fully restored.

So far Ive replaced the rims, and a custom yellow and black paint job is soon to come.
